A Word for Israel

from: Catherine Brown
Web Site: http://www.gatekeepers.org.uk

Dear Friends,

Before releasing this article into the public domain I have consulted with (Messianic) Rabbi Curt Landry and Pastor Tim Alsbaugh, leaders of the House of David www.houseofdavid.us in Oklahoma. We have prayerfully meditated on the revelation and its interpretation and are in agreement about the release of this word at this time.

A WORD FOR ISRAEL

"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, for Jerusalem's sake I will not remain quiet, till her righteousness shines out like the dawn, her salvation like a blazing torch." Is 62:1

On the evening of Monday 17 July, 2006 at 7.55 p.m. I received a vision in which I saw a young Jewish boy running with a piece of paper in his hand with tears running down his cheeks. The words on the paper read, 'Jihad Talmud'. He was running to his father to warn him about what he had discovered written on the piece of paper. At the end of the short vision the Lord gave me the following Scripture, "But the land you are crossing the Jordan to take possession of is a land of mountains and valleys that drinks rain from heaven." Deuteronomy 11:11

Upon receiving the vision I went straight to prayer and my heart was torn open once more for our Father's love of His people, His land and His word.

INTERPRETATION

At it's heart this simple visionary experience is a threefold reminder to believers all across the earth :

  • to love the Lord with all their hearts and put Him first;
  • to love His word and live by it
  • to love all peoples, and in particular to pray for and demonstrate love towards the people of Israel.

Jihad means 'holy war' and the Talmud is a book of the thoughts of man - Rabbis' commentary's. This combination of words from two different cultures is extremely unusual and requires wisdom to interpret what the Spirit is saying to the church.

A WORD OF AWAKENING - LOVE AND PRAY FOR ISRAEL

Whilst receiving the vision my heart was filled to overflowing with love for the little Jewish boy. In a brief moment the Lord gifted me with a supernatural abundance of His love for this unknown Jewish boy as though he were my own flesh and blood. The impartation of the Father's love for Israel fuelled my prayers and for half an hour or more I travailed and prayed in the Spirit for the people of Israel, Lebanon and the middle East. God wants to fill our hearts with his love for the sons and daughters of Israel.

In Deuteronomy 11 the Lord makes promises to Israel that they will possess the land and their enemies. Never before has Israel needed our prayers as much as she does now and it is essential that we pray from a revelation of the Father's heart. There is an open window for the praying church to rise up in Spirit and in truth and pray for the Spirit to be poured out in an unprecedented way. Surely this is the time for the priests to weep between the porch and the altar?

This is an unusual time for Israel and the entire middle east; she has never been this way before. Just as in Deuteronomy when the Lord spoke, "The land you are entering is not like the land of Egypt" 11:10, Israel is once again entering an unusual time of transition towards her Kingdom destiny, with particular regard to taking up her inheritance in the land

A WORD OF WARNING IN A TIME OF GLOBAL TRANSITION

On another level the vision is also a warning to us all to depart from the traditions and the thoughts of man. God's desire is that we will submit to his sovereign rule and live our lives in absolute surrender to his will. As Israel and, therefore, the rest of the world transition through a season of massive global change we cannot rely on man's thoughts or ways - we must leave them behind. At such an historic juncture in history there is one thing that we must do and that is to turn our hearts fully to our Heavenly Father and focus on His ways, His word and His divine purposes and plans. It is essential that we function and live in the Father's compassion and his word. Our prayers for Israel and the situation in the middle East require to be uttered in the Spirit of wisdom and revelation and be saturated with the power of Scripture.

Even in the midst of these desperate times as Hezbollah continues to fire katyushas into Israel and Israel continues to push Hezbollah northward, out of the area south of the Lebanese Litani River, God is moving in power to reveal his heart of love to the people. Avner Boskey writes,

"We and others in our area are seeing the Lord open more doors to speak of Yeshua. His name is being lifted up. We are seeing more divine appointments, evidences of supernatural activity and sovereign revelation in the lives of Israelis around us. God is on the move." Avner Boskey www.davidstent.org

2ND VISION

Following on from the first vision, I had a further vision where I saw a missile heading towards the holy scrolls and in the vision these precious scrolls were being burned. The scrolls were made from papyrus and were extremely old, dating back to at least AD1000. Whilst Satan would delight in physically destroying God's recorded words, we understand that this would not detract in any way from the omniscience of God on the earth. Satan understands the power and authority of Scripture. I would ask you to agree with me in prayer for protection of ancient scrolls recording God's holy words. Interestingly, I recently received news that an ancient 20 page manuscript dating to 80-100 AD was discovered last week in a bog in the Irish Midlands.

http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/europe/07/25/ireland.psalms.ap/index.html

The director of the National Museum of Ireland said, "This is really a miracle find." The book was found open to a page describing in Latin script, Psalm 83, in which the psalm describes how Arab and Middle Eastern powers form a last-days covenant against the God of Israel and against the Jewish people, in order to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.. This is no coincidence that God is using his word today even to speak from the Celtic lands that it is time to rise up and pray. It is a time to get back on the walls and pray for the peace of Jerusalem, the salvation of Israel, and the destruction of Satan's assignments and forces against the Kingdom of our God and His people Israel. Our hearts and prayers are with the hurting and broken hearted at this time.

"For if their rejection is the reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance be but life from the dead." Romans 11:15

Yours in the love of Yeshua our Messiah

Word for Israel 2007

from: Catherine Brown
Web Site: http://www.gatekeepers.org.uk

"I will wait for the Lord, who is hiding his face from the house of Jacob. I will put my trust in him." Isaiah 8:16

The prophet Habbakuk instructs us with regard to revelation that it “awaits an appointed time” (Habbakuk 2:3). On 31 July 2006 I was in prayer enquiring of Messiah regarding Israel and at that time I received a number of prophetic images and Holy Spirit utterances. I have prayed about these, sought counsel from a trusted apostolic leader in Israel and now almost one year on believe it is the ‘appointed time’ to release what I was shown. The imagery is complex. I ask you, therefore, to read and pray for Israel as the Spirit of wisdom bears witness with your spirit. Apostle Paul exhorts us, “if a man’s gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith.” (Romans 12:6) May we be a people of faith, of purity of heart and sincere love towards our brothers and sisters in Israel.

DAYS OF GRACE

In the initial part of the prophetic encounter I was shown three successive images as follows:

  • the first was the word 'Jireh' and the Lord spoke to my spirit and said "Jireh is my word to Israel, for I am her provider."
  • The second image was the word 'Torah'
  • and the third image was the number 5 (= grace)

The Holy Spirit said, "Israel is entering 'The Days of Grace."

The imagery points to a period of divine provision of grace for Israel. As I have pondered the multi-faceted interpretation of grace for Israel, today I received a report which seems most poignant and profoundly relevant in regard to Israel’s role in compassion as outlined in the Torah.

Justice Minister Daniel Friedmann proposed Tuesday that Israel accept refugees from Darfur, stating that Israel must adhere to the principles of "biblical compassion."

"Israel must hold talks with Europe over how many refugees they are willing to accept and how many we are willing to take," Friedmann said. Speaking at a convention of the Israel Bar Association in Eilat, Friedmann said that "this is a question that is currently before the state of Israel, and there is a direct line with what occurred 3,000 years ago and more, at the time of the Exodus from Egypt."

According to Friedmann, "There are instructions in the Torah which teach about compassion, and in dimensions which we do not see in the law of other peoples. The emphasis is on why there is a need for compassion, the source of this biblical compassion." "The question that Israel must ask itself is, to what extent is it within that pathway of compassion?" (Ref 1)

God is providing grace to Israel to be a light to the nations in respect of His compassion. He has chosen Israel to be an instrument of His love towards the alien. "And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt." Deut. 10:19

FIVE MAJOR MILITARY STRIKES AGAINST ISRAEL

The Spirit continued to bring revelation to me and said, "There will be five major military strikes against Israel but she will survive as a nation under God." I received a strong impression that this [survival as a nation] was conditional to Israel's repentance before the Lord. On the fifth strike God said that He will release His glory and "At the midnight hour the God of the armies of Israel will arise."

Pesach and Shavuot seem linked to the release of the Lord's glory in this vision. Pray for a spirit of repentance to be released in Israel and for multitudes to be saved.

YESHUA THE LIGHT OF ISRAEL AND ANGELS WITH LANTERNS

The Lord then revealed through a visionary experience a multitude of angels walking with hand-held lanterns throughout Israel. They approached many individuals and as they held the light up the people received an immediate revelation of Yeshua as Messiah. I looked up and saw a clock on a high tower which was approaching the midnight hour. Suddenly a burst of glory filled the air. Simultaneous to this the glory released a wave of massive repentance and the salvations and healings increased exponentially.

During my first trip to Israel in April this year, I stood in line waiting to pray at the Western Wall. I looked up at the clock tower to my right and noted it was just before the 12th hour. I was immediately reminded of the Lord’s word that He would arise as the God of the armies of Israel. I also recalled the vision of angels revealing the Light of Yeshua to the multitudes in Israel. The grace for exponential increase of salvations, signs, healing and wonders is here and now for Israel. We need only turn to Acts 2:17-21 to see the paradox of blessing and bloodshed being poured out at the same time, “blood, fire and billows of smoke …And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

THE FIRST HAND

I saw the hand of God come down on the land of Israel and each finger had a word attached to it.

  • The thumb said 'UN',
  • the first finger said 'Syria'
  • the middle said 'Lebanon'
  • the fourth finger said 'Russia'
  • And the fifth finger 'China'.

The Lord impressed to my heart that these five would bring much opposition to Israel and that France would also rise up as a loud voice against Israel. (This is not to say these are the only places that will oppose Israel, however, these are the ones I was shown). Pray that nations will become allies and not the enemy of Israel.

The recently elected French President Nicolas Sarkozy is considered by many to be a strong friend to Israel and sympathetic toward the Jewish fight against terror and anti-Semitism (Ref 2). Pray that he will be used as an instrument of blessing to Israel.

I am deeply saddened to report that Britain has recently entered into an onslaught of boycotts and sanctions against Israel. On April 16th, the British National Union of Journalists voted in favour of a boycott of Israeli goods (Ref 3). April 23rd, more than 130 UK doctors called for a boycott of the Israeli Medical Association (Ref 4). Last week the University and College Union (UCU), voted to consider a debate to boycott all Israeli academic institutions (Ref 5). The Higher Education Minister, Mr Bill Rammell said he was “very disappointed” with the vote. Mr Tony Blair has publicly spoken out against the boycott (Ref 6). On May 31st, the largest British labour union threatened to declare a boycott of Israeli products (Ref 7). Pray for mercy in the heart of Britain towards Israel. May God forgive us.

ISRAEL THE HOMEFRONT

The Lord spoke further and said, "Israel is the home front."

On Thursday May 31, 2007 the Jerusalem Post carried the following article under the heading,

“Israel to ready public for all out war” (Ref 8)

“Wth Iran racing toward nuclear power and IDF preparations for the possibility of a conflict with Syria and Hizbullah in high gear, the Home Front Command plans to launch a publicity campaign to prepare the public for war. Wthin a few weeks it intends to inform the public about what people need to do in the event of attack.

The campaign was not connected to a specific event or threat but was meant to brace the public for war in general, senior IDF officers said. "Our job is to prepare for an all-out war," Col. Hilik Sofer, head of the Home Front Command Population Division, told The Jerusalem Post Wednesday. "We prepare for a wide range of possibilities since it doesn't make a difference where the threat comes from."

Several weeks ago, the Home Front Command distributed pamphlets in Netivot and Ashkelon explaining how to behave during a Kassam attack. Both cities are within 15 kilometers of the Gaza Strip. The IDF has deployed early warning systems outside Netivot and Ashkelon. They have not been activated, pending government approval.

Next week, Sofer will meet with heads of government offices and local councils to discuss ways to improve service to the public at a time of emergency. "We know that the Palestinians have Kassams that can reach 12-kilometer distances and even farther," Sofer said. "And even though Kassams have yet to fall there, we'd best be prepared."

In March, the Home Front Command, the Israel Police, Magen David Adom, the Fire and Rescue Services and other emergency services held a two-day exercise throughout the country that dealt with extreme scenarios, including mega-terrorist attacks and non-conventional missile attacks. The drill was the country's largest ever and implemented lessons from the Second Lebanon War last summer.

"Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident." Psalm 27:3

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

THE SECOND HAND

I saw another hand with five further messages:

  • Under the thumb ('UN') I saw anti-Semitism (http://www.unwatch.org/site/c.bdKKISNqEmG/b.2264593/k.14EE/AntiIsrael_Resolutions_at_61st_GA.htm)
  • on the second finger (Syria) I saw the rise of a new neo Nazi movement
  • on the third finger (Lebanon) I saw the words 'Global Pandemic of Islam'
  • on the fourth (Russia) I saw 'new age, occult/satanic opposition'
  • On the fifth (China) were written the words, 'other eastern religions.'

The countless anti-Israel resolutions and related debates consume an astonishing proportion of the UN community's precious resources. This year, during the 61th Session of the General Assembly (2006-2007), the time spent by ambassadors on enacting the 22nd anti-Israel resolution of the year was time not spent on passing a single resolution on Sudan's genocide in Darfur. Diplomats at foreign ministries or UN missions have a limited amount of time to devote to any particular UN session. Because every proposed UN resolution is subjected to intensive review by various levels and branches of government, a direct result of the anti-Israel texts is a crippling of the UN's ability to tackle the world's ills.

http://www.unwatch.org/site/c.bdKKISNqEmG/b.1359197/k.6748/UN_Israel__AntiSemitism.htm

Pray for an unmasking and annulling of every evil alliance, enemy plot and strategy on the earth against Israel. Pray for the victory of Christ to be released in the earth for Israel at this time.

THE THIRD HAND

The Lord said that during the days of grace when Israel will experience five major military strikes, that he is going to release five major prophetic revelations and I saw another hand and each finger had a message - a promise of deliverance from the hand of God for Israel:

  • On the thumb was written, 'strategy and counter strategy'
  • the 2nd finger 'military might'
  • the third 'military intelligence'
  • the fourth 'enemy exposure'
  • and the fifth 'pro Israel powerful allies'

Israel Defense Forces continue to carry out aerial operations and targeted attacks against Gaza terrorist munitions enclaves, terrorist chiefs and PA-run television and radio stations which encourage Islamist violence against Israel. The hope is the source of Qassam rocket and other terrorist attacks against Israel’s Negev cities will be dealt with at the core, with the least amount of civilian casualties, and not require a full-scale IDF ground operation into the area. On another front, Israeli military officials are greatly concerned by the possibility of war with Syria and its Lebanese arm, Hizbullah, this summer and have resisted the idea of diverting IDF forces for an invasion of the Gaza Strip. A senior army officer said a major ground operation against the Gaza-based terrorist infrastructure would severely erode Israel’s capacity to handle a reoccurrence of last summer’s violence in the north. From the army's perspective, Syria is the biggest threat and the Palestinian front is secondary. (Sources: Haaretz Correspondents/IHC)

Pray for God to give divinely inspired strategy and strategic intelligence (as He did in 2 Kings 6) and to release might to the armies of Israel (1 Sam. 17:26). Pray for exposure of the enemy and for God's pro-Israel allies to arise in the earth. Pray especially for a protection of all innocents.

May God show mercy to Israel at this time. May Israel turn in the spirit of Elijah and be reconciled to the Father. May we, the body of Christ, pray unceasingly and love unconditionally until our Lord returns for His Bride, one New Man in Yeshua.

Iran bolstered by survival of Hamas allies in Gaza

By Alistair Lyon, Special Correspondent - Analysis www.reuters.com/article/newsOne/idUSTRE50M43I20090123

BEIRUT (Reuters) - Iran can be fairly content with the outcome of Israel's devastating assault on the Gaza Strip.

Its Hamas allies emerged bloodied but unbowed, it gained a foothold in Arab decision-making and its calls for resistance to Israel chimed better with Arab popular sentiment than attempts by Egypt to minimize any benefits for the Palestinian Islamists.

Tehran, which rearmed Hezbollah Shi'ite guerrillas and sent them hundreds of millions of dollars for reconstruction after Israel's 2006 war in Lebanon, will find it harder to replenish Hamas's arsenal or finance rebuilding in the Gaza Strip.

The tiny coastal enclave's borders with Israel and Egypt are officially sealed. Both countries are hostile to Iran and, in differing degrees, to Gaza's Islamist rulers.

But the Iranians will still be satisfied with the returns they have made on a relatively limited investment, analysts say.

"In the waning days of the Bush administration, what did we see? Not an Israeli or American bombing run on Iranian nuclear facilities, but the strengthening of Iran's position on Israel's doorstep," said Mouin Rabbani, contributing editor to Middle East Report. "Why complain if you are sitting in Tehran?"

With the Gaza struggle now moving to reconstruction, Israel is determined to deny Hamas any post-war political gains, while the West wants to use aid money to carve out a revived role for President Mahmoud Abbas's Palestinian Authority in the strip.

The Islamist movement pledged on Thursday to distribute up to 4,000 euros ($5,180) to Gazan families hit by the Israeli conflict -- a vow that recalled the way Hezbollah enhanced its reputation at the expense of the Western-backed Lebanese government by handing out cash to victims of the 2006 war.

Iran has expanded ties with Hamas in recent years, despite religious differences with a group spawned by the Sunni Muslim Brotherhood, sending it money through tunnels beneath the Gaza Strip's border with Egypt and training its fighters.

Israeli and Hamas sources say scores of militants had received training in Iran before Israel's 22-day Gaza onslaught.

Hamas and other Palestinian groups have mostly fired crude homemade rockets into Israel, but Israeli officials say Iran has also supplied Hamas with longer-range Katyusha or Grad missiles, similar to those used by Hezbollah, an ally of Iran and Syria.

An Israeli intelligence official, who declined to be named, said last week that Hamas Grads were made in China, bought by Iran and smuggled into the Sinai via the Red Sea or Sudan.

The Israelis contend that Iranian weapons are also smuggled via the Suez Canal to an Egyptian Mediterranean port where they are reloaded onto small fishing boats. These try to run Israel's naval blockade of Gaza, dropping the arms in special submersible containers that are retrieved by Palestinian divers.

A Western diplomat in Tehran said the extent of Iranian arms supplies to Hamas was not clear, but added: "My understanding is that most of the things fired from Gaza were made in Gaza."

"ODD COUPLE"

Iran and Hamas have a common enemy in Israel, but remain an "odd couple," he said, unlike Tehran's deep ties to Hezbollah.

"They have no ideological affinity whatsoever. It's a pure marriage of convenience," the diplomat said, identifying Islamic Jihad, not Hamas, as Iran's original Palestinian soulmate.

Rabbani said Iran would only have been disappointed in the Gaza conflict if Israel had won an unambiguous victory or if the political outcome had been adverse to Iran and its allies.

"If anything, it has been the opposite," he said, arguing that Hamas had been bolstered politically, while Abbas, whose forces were driven from Gaza in 2007, had been fatally weakened.

Despite killing some 1,300 Palestinians and blazing a trail of destruction, Israel failed to achieve the decisive military triumph that its leaders have claimed, said Alastair Crooke, a former European Union negotiator in the Middle East.

"It was a war of ghosts," he said, adding that Hamas had preserved much of its combat capacity by avoiding direct confrontation with Israel's vastly superior forces and had projected a defiant image of psychological strength.

"Israel feels that when Hamas sees the devastation of Gaza, it will emerge contrite, docile and deterred," Crooke said.

"But Hamas did not emerge in their underpants waving white flags. There were no images of defeat. I imagine Iran is not dissatisfied with the political or even the military outcome."

Midway through the conflict, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei flayed some Muslim governments for doing too little to halt Israel's attack, saying this would expose them to future humiliation -- a message that resonated with the Arab street.

Iran, a non-Arab observer, won a respectful hearing at a meeting on Gaza in Qatar where Syria and Hamas joined its calls for Arab states to cut ties with Israel. Egypt and Saudi Arabia, Washington's main Arab allies, stayed away, but Turkey attended.

"It was a striking shift in diplomacy," Crooke said of the Qatar meeting, at which Hamas and other anti-Abbas factions represented the Palestinians, and Syrian President Bashar al-Assad proposed withdrawing an Arab peace offer to Israel.

Rabbani said the Doha meeting showed that Iran had almost become an accepted participant in regional dialogue. "The key players there were not the traditional ones, Cairo and Riyadh, but rather Tehran and Ankara. That was quite telling."
